i'm a day late so imma give you TWO things - plus my birthday is a mere few days away..sort of.

i think i can't live without either one of these items.

so, i love charles hutcheson fine jewelry on any day of the week. but, i ESPECIALLY love them when i get there and it's NEW SHIPMENT day. (*please note, i should be turned away at the door on those days.) alas, i fell hard for this sparkly beauty by betty carre. i mean come on, it's totally perfect in it's raw organic roughness, so you can still be a little badass and don't feel overly girly, but sparkly enough you can dress her up and take her out. she's an everyday kind of piece, which i've professed before as my forever favorites.

so for those of you taking note (yes, that means you) this is pretty much all i want high up on my holiday wish-list (which you can check out at hutcheson, or make your own for your dad special someone to check!). 

and if you're smart you'll put it in the toe of my stocking because that's where the best and brightest present always is! (like when i got my betty carre stackable rings last year. hint.)

I read a quote somewhere that went something like this - if a woman shaves her legs for you, and asks you not to shave for her, marry her immediately.

Duh.

In my book, a face without scruff is like a day without sun. And when No-Shave November rolls around, I'm in heaven.

But even bearded boy/friends need to keep a well-kept coif and be super cool and casual about it.

Hello, Dude No. 1 Beard Oil by MCMC Fragrances- you are all of these things. And you smell manly and woodsy and I-don't-mind-if-I-sneak-some-for-myself good.

Basically all the cool bearded kids are doing it. So you should too.

Plus, I'm dying to try my own MCMC scent...but which one?! I guess a trip to Brooklyn is in order (not to mention MCMC is stuidomates with Odette - be still my heart!)

It's still Wednesday? Ugh. Anyway, I fell in love with this little guy, over here. So then I decided to visit the Esty shop of Tala Stone - big mistake for me, great mistake for you (especially if you need to buy me a present)!

I am loving pretty much every, single piece! They are gorgeous and super reasonably priced, which is the perfect combo if you ask me. The sharks tooth just really resonates with me; it's the grown-up fancy version from when I was little and would collect them on the  beach with my Uncle. Obviously, I need to have it along with baby skull necklace.

Two words: Heidi Merrick. O.M.G. Style my soul often Heidi? I was considering just posting screen shots of every item on the website, because in truth I would wear every. single. thing. (it's like an epic album where you don't have to skip any song), but below are the few that I'm pretty sure I will die without (and they are on sale). Her fall line is banana pancakes...oh and did you know she is SUPER rad. I'm fairly convinced that if I moved to the West Coast my inner surfer girl would totally rock out.

So a few weeks ago I got a glimpse of the "Jane" bag by Kooba on Bell Tower's facebook page, and was immediately smitten. Today I stopped by The Store and met her in person and now I am officially in love. Jane is the answer to all my handbag needs/lusts/wants, ever. She's beautiful and chic but has enough practicality to travel the world with me. Yes, please.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect tray for my nightstand for TWO YEARS. Seriously. Nothing is right, or if it is, it's wickedly expensive. Recently I found a vintage, round, red, tin tray at Just Curious? to hold me over until I find "the one". Well my loves, today is that day. I love him! (and he's reasonably priced). Plus, hello, Furbish is awesome and I can't stop looking at EVERYTHING.

What I Want Wednesday | Birthday Edition

So I fell head over heels for this guy last night at Van Scoy (more on that later)! And I totally can't stop thinking about him today. It reminds me of a sticker I saw which I think describes me (or what I think of as me) perfectly: "I may look harmless on the outside, but I'm a badass on the inside." (que my endless love of bad boys, motorcycles and tattoos - just to name a few!) This ring is just the right amount of edge for my ever-evolving rock star style (and boasts a teeny tiny diamond - perfect!).

Ohh the crazy days of college - where spring break abounds and you have no choice but to partake in some sort of festivity (even if it just going home for a few days). The point being it's a BREAK. A real one. Whatever happened to that? It's disguised as vacation now for me, but that always comes with some price to pay (whether literally or figuratively). So here's to the spring breaks of the past and hopes for one in the near future (and in this future spring break, I will be wearing these rad shorts)!

I would also like to take this opportunity to point you to Indagare Souk for a truly unique and exquisite shopping experience you can feel good about. I am OBSESSED with this site for many reasons and I am sure you will be too! Let's just call a spade a spade, and admit Valentine's Day is less than a week away. Don't get all mushy on me this year, just buy me these limited edition Red Blooded Field Notes and we'll call it a match made in heaven. No cupid or candy involved.

So, with that being said, we're going to keep WIWW RED this month, just because! (Don't worry you can catch up! (You only missed one RED WIWW.) We're also dressing up the shop! Take a peek at how cute Double Dutch looks this month - what a pretty little lady! I think red might be her color. What do you think?

Finally! A fresh, new, month: February! Was January not the.longest.month.ever? Sheesh. But we made it through and what better way to celebrate that to add some color to the shortest month of the year (this should be fairly painless, right?). I have been pining away for this tunic since I saw in the J.Crew 2012 spring lookbook. And now the only color left online is Bohemian Red (appropriate, no?) and I feel like this flowy frock clearly must become mine. (Plus, I've already thought of 132 ways to wear it!)

To market, to market with Melanie Linder today! What WE want?! Yummy, delish, organic, good-for-you, indulgent TREATS! And of course, that's exactly what we had. One of my new weekly feel-good rituals is to make a trip to see the fabulous Melanie Bare, of Fields and French Hens, at the Fairgrounds Farmer's Market. I get to stock up on organic protein bars for my long weekend runs (more on them later!), try a new sweet treat and get a hug from marvelous Melanie. (She's such a fox, I have decided she gets her own post just so I can tell you exactly how genuinely foxy she truly is.) Who wouldn't want to go to the market for that? And today it was double-trouble with my two favorite Melanie's in the same place at the same time! Overload! So now we're all hooked, on treating ourselves to treats (that are good for you inside and out) and on each other.

As an added bonus, Melanie Linder and I have also taken it upon ourselves to educate you, dear reader, on one treat a week that we both devour and then give you all the details.

First up: the Organic Cup of Joe cookie or maybe it was Organic Coffee Coconut - we ate them too fast to remember!

Christin swoons: Mmmm, chewy and moist texture, with just the right amount of coffee balanced with coconut flavor. Perfect pick-me-up for a gray Thursday afternoon. Loved the burst of the two crunchy coffee beans holding court in the middle of the cookie.

Back to the basics this week of truly fabulous finds! And boy oh boy did I find a great gem to kick off the new year with - Odette. I will be pining away for any of her pieces all year long, I can promise you that! Her organic designs with Nordic elements, crafted in bright brass with sterling make my heart all a flutter and have me plotting and planning what my first pretty piece from Odette will be! Not to mention I can think of over 100 ways and days to wear any of her designs. It's pretty perfect. Oh, and can we please talk about her apartment featured on Design* Sponge?
