Night at the Museum

One of my favorite semi-annual events hosted by GRYP is when the Reading Public Museum hosts us for a private after-hours tour of their current exhibit. We get to sip wine in the abortetum and network and socialize and then are whisked away to get up close and personal with amazing pieces of art. So needless to say, I am very spoiled when it comes to the art department.
I am also spoiled because, among many other serious staples in the Permanent Collection, we have our own Chihuly installation, which I am quite fond of.

And when surrounded by beautiful things, it's nice to up the ante in regard to the typical work-day outfit. Plus we're back to the last few gloomy days of March, so I put a little spring with sailor stripes and bright lips and nails.

Happy Friday!

It's easy being green

It's my favorite day of the month! Berks County Living has hit the newstands for its annual green April issue.

I had the terrific task of scouring the County for all kinds of eco - green goods and my friends, you will not be dissapointed. While I love each and every of my handpicked must-haves without question, there is one that I just can not wait to break out and try for myself!

Awesome Andy at East Ridge Outfitters turned me on to this hydration belt and I can not wait to hit the trails and try it out! He is the one stop shop for all of us Berks County outdooraholics, and I promise you will not be dissapointed (or leave empty handed) when you visit his store. Plus, GoLite is a super awesome company who makes really eco-responsible goods you can feel good about purchasing. Win-win, on-on.

Happy Trails!

geeking out at goggleworks

On my perpertual "to-do" list is always: learn to use Photoshop. Finally! I can cross that off. A good friend of mine, and fabulous photographer, Heidi Reuter spent last evening teaching the Photoshop Crash Course at our beloved GoggleWorks. Three hours later, I have enough knowledge to be dangerous and I can't wait to play around with more photos! My proud first retouches of two of my favorite photos from Mauritius below for your viewing pleasure:
