Double Dutch, my pretty little side project with the ever-amazing Melanie Linder (her post about DD is pretty awesome too!), is up and running! Woohoo!
So go check it out and let us know what you think ( and be kind please :)! We're so excited and have amazing ideas to share with you.
First up, for those of you who know your lady would scoff at heart-shaped jewelery for Valentine's Day (duh.) give her the arrow to your heart instead. Just what your one-of-a-kind woman wants. Trust me. Or, ladies, if your girlfriends cupid turned out to be stupid this year - an awesome arrow is the appropriate gift in times like these.
Happy shopping everyone! We heart you!

Sometimes the best things in life are accidents. Like when you're searching for one thing but find another you didn't even know you were looking for! It all started when I was introduced to Pickwick (um, wow, can we please talk about these dudes, seriously.) and then I discovered the Sound on the Sound Doe Bay Sessions, which led to the ultimate uncovering of the Doe Bay Fest in Seattle (who's with me?!). So really, this is a trifecta of terrific proportions.
Who even knew The Head and The Heart had these two songs (okay, maybe everyone but me) I am in serious l o v e with this session; specifically the second song.
And then Pickwick just breaks it down and you wonder how you can go on living without ever seeing them in person.
And oh, hello Champagne Champagne - these dudes are just too cool. And what a rad group to add to the mix. Oh Doe Bay Fest, it might be impossible for me not to go to you this summer.

Not only have I guiltily indulged in drinking coffee again, but I've got some old-school college-day tunes on repeat these days. Despite my typically excellent and eclectic (aka bragging rights) taste in music, there are always a few exceptions to every rule. One of my exceptions is: John Mayer. I know! How embarrassing to admit that on a Tune in Tuesday!? Maybe it's a girl thing, the guilty pleasure of John's ooey-gooey crooning about love lost, that provides comfort and familiarity. I promise to redeem myself next week, dear readers! Bear (induluge) with me.

To market, to market with Melanie Linder today! What WE want?! Yummy, delish, organic, good-for-you, indulgent TREATS! And of course, that's exactly what we had. One of my new weekly feel-good rituals is to make a trip to see the fabulous Melanie Bare, of Fields and French Hens, at the Fairgrounds Farmer's Market. I get to stock up on organic protein bars for my long weekend runs (more on them later!), try a new sweet treat and get a hug from marvelous Melanie. (She's such a fox, I have decided she gets her own post just so I can tell you exactly how genuinely foxy she truly is.) Who wouldn't want to go to the market for that? And today it was double-trouble with my two favorite Melanie's in the same place at the same time! Overload! So now we're all hooked, on treating ourselves to treats (that are good for you inside and out) and on each other.
As an added bonus, Melanie Linder and I have also taken it upon ourselves to educate you, dear reader, on one treat a week that we both devour and then give you all the details.
First up: the Organic Cup of Joe cookie or maybe it was Organic Coffee Coconut - we ate them too fast to remember!
Christin swoons: Mmmm, chewy and moist texture, with just the right amount of coffee balanced with coconut flavor. Perfect pick-me-up for a gray Thursday afternoon. Loved the burst of the two crunchy coffee beans holding court in the middle of the cookie.
What did Mel think? Head over to blog to check out her take on our first treat tasting!

Back to the basics this week of truly fabulous finds! And boy oh boy did I find a great gem to kick off the new year with - Odette. I will be pining away for any of her pieces all year long, I can promise you that! Her organic designs with Nordic elements, crafted in bright brass with sterling make my heart all a flutter and have me plotting and planning what my first pretty piece from Odette will be! Not to mention I can think of over 100 ways and days to wear any of her designs. It's pretty perfect. Oh, and can we please talk about her apartment featured on Design* Sponge? Just a little Wednesday wanting bonus: her blog.
