Packed with a Punch
Of color that is! How perfect is this fabulous outfit for a business trip to Florida? The best part - all the pieces work with each other and alone. So it's more bang for your carry-on buck! We got the bestie packed up last night for her sparkly Sorrelli trip and it was such a blast! She's going to look amazing, per usual, but we thought we'd give you a peek at what we styled up straight from the depths of her (coveted) closet! Oh, and do you spy some insanely awesome new Sorrelli pieces?! I DO! And I WANT!
ps - we've got more serious styling up our sleeves - stay tuned to see what else we whipped up for our glamorous upcoming weekend attending GiGi.

Tea for Two
Mel and I were the two for tea last week at Fields and French Hens when we stopped in to celebrate their first birthday! Hip, hip, hooray! We love you Melanie Bare of F&FH and all that you do! We also love your flaky and delicious - melt-in-you-mouth vegan turnovers. VEGAN people - I swear that pastry dough is more flaky than when I use butter. She totally blew our taste buds out of the water this week with this turnover treat. As much as we attempt to always try something new..I think this one might be the exception (Well that, and the Lavendar Cookies, but that's another story...).
Lets not forget the tasty little blueberry tea cake I picked up for a snack. YUM. It was perfect with the lovely green tea Melanie made for us as we made ourselves right at home at her counter (per usual). It was so super moist and the icing was just the right amount of sweet - the best part though? No guilt! (And this can sometimes be induced when eating dessert for lunch.) But not here! No sir. Mel and I sipped our tea and savored our treats and our waistlines are all the better for it.
So, a belated happy birthday to you F&FH. You make us so happy (and hungry) and we can't wait for many more years of yumminess.

Tune In Tuesday
I was going to tell all of you lovelies to get your groove on and get on down with some Al Green on this day devoted to L-O-V-E. BUT then I got off the love-train and jumped the tracks for this sultry, southern, swager-y, swinging song (and decided it's totally up to you if you want to be sap up your playlist today). Happy Valentine's Day! xoxoxoxoxoxo

What I Want Wednesday | Red Hot
Let's just call a spade a spade, and admit Valentine's Day is less than a week away. Don't get all mushy on me this year, just buy me these limited edition Red Blooded Field Notes and we'll call it a match made in heaven. No cupid or candy involved.
So, with that being said, we're going to keep WIWW RED this month, just because! (Don't worry you can catch up! (You only missed one RED WIWW.) We're also dressing up the shop! Take a peek at how cute Double Dutch looks this month - what a pretty little lady! I think red might be her color. What do you think?
Oh, and that Arrow? Yeah, she still wants it and you should get your game on and get one while the gettin's good (and before they're gone).

Tune In Tuesday
First of all, let's talk about those caftans. Every time I see this album cover I wish I could just jump into it! Waahh it's all 1970's bohemian perfection. And of course, let's not forget these chicks are Swedish, and it's no secret how I feel about Sweden and/or anything Swedish (which is very, very good).
But really, back to the music. I knew I liked First Aid Kit from the get - go, a while back. Embarassingly, this post comes after I took the time to listen to the ENTIRE 'The Lion's Roar' album (not just the first two, popular tracks, which are also very amazing). Here's the conclusion: I didn't skip through any tracks (and by this point I'm on my fifth or sixth listen through). So, give it a try! I'd love to hear what you think (and if I'm still off my game)!? This track, for obvious reasons, is hauntingly beautiful to me right now.
And oh hello, they are at Union Transfer on March 31. Yes, please.

weekend wonders.
[it's black leggings and SLIPPERS people, not Uggs, totally different...]
[a few handmade suprises for some of my favorite people]
[happy tears in hamburg this weekend when we tackled this trail on sunny sunday]
[my reward after tackling said trails above - a burbon coffee milkshake. YES PLEASE!]
[for you]
Well good people, I'm out of weekend rut of black leggings/over-sized parka / Uggs /coffee with whip cream/couch potato stage. Unfortunately, I can't claim this weekend was glamorous by any means BUT here's some fun stuff to look at. Just feeling like myself in my own skin takes the cake as being the best part of my weekend, even if I do have the sneaking suspicion heartbreak lurking around every corner...

What I Want Wednesday
Finally! A fresh, new, month: February! Was January not the.longest.month.ever? Sheesh. But we made it through and what better way to celebrate that to add some color to the shortest month of the year (this should be fairly painless, right?). I have been pining away for this tunic since I saw in the J.Crew 2012 spring lookbook. And now the only color left online is Bohemian Red (appropriate, no?) and I feel like this flowy frock clearly must become mine. (Plus, I've already thought of 132 ways to wear it!)
