What I Want Wednesday | Birthday Edition

In anticipation of my upcoming birthday (now less than one month away, ahem) we will be dedicating WIWW to moi! (I know, you're shocked.) Yes of course WIWW is comprised of things I want but the Birthday Edition are things I really, really want! Like, made the cut to actually be asked for want. Let the games begin!

Feelin' Alright is one of my favorite songs, ever, hands down. I play it when I'm happy, when I want to happy, when I want to get down or get up. Bottom line: a dance party always ensues. Bonus when I rock it out at my parents house on their Joe Cocker vinyl album - my Dad ALWAYS dances with me. LOVE IT. So needless to say, we had a serious dance session to this in the kitchen on Easter Sunday, while Mom just kept on cooking. If you need a dance partner for this just let me know, I'll be happy to oblige. As for my father-daughter dance, forget that sappy stuff, Dad and I are cutting a rug to this track.

Wow! What a wonderful holiday weekend. No one gets really "hopped" up (hehehe) on the Easter holiday, but I have to say the past few days were truly a nice break from the action to enjoy spring and family and food. Spent lots of time with mom, running on the trails and making yummy food (and even scrubbing my floor - for the new addition of course!). Here's to slowing down a little this spring and enjoying the season.

And I'm coming up for air! Hello, April! Whew! What a whirlwind March has been. I spent the entire month preparing for events planned for the last week. It's been race>company's 80th Anniversary party>Jazz Fest event on Penn Avenue - and now it's over! (what shall I do with all this free T I M E ;)

I must say, although totally wiped out, everything went off without a hitch! And I was lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing friends and family the entire time, making the success of my events that much sweeter.

So today's lesson: You really can do anything you put your mind to. If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.
