This is how we do on Thursdays at Fields and French Hens. Melanie suggests the following tasty dipping sauce to pair with your baguette for the holiday weekend:

{pine nuts, 1/2 cup calamata olives, pitted and chopped, 2 tablespoons rosemary, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil. Put all ingredients in a food processor and combine. I'm going to dip mine, but feel free to bake yours. Set oven at 400, cut bread in half, sprinkle with mixture, cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes or so. Enjoy!}

This past weekend felt like the start of summer, I swear, even though I know this coming weekend is the official kick-off (and half-heartedly accept that my birthday is not)! Also, this weekend (May 29) is also the release of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's album, Here. Coincidence? I think not. Give it good listen - you're going to love it. I'm going to have this record on repeat all summer long. Here comes the sun!

Lisa and Zach got hitched this weekend! And what a weekend it was - beautiful bride, wonderful wedding and lots of time spent on the dance floor with friends. Not to mention not a cloud in the sky for at least 36 hours. Stay tuned for proper wedding photos!

I do not understand how this happening? The last time I checked it was 2012. I could rant and rave but what's the use: hate breeds hate, and we all know I'm a lover. Just know, fight and defend civil rights - in all fashions, for all people. That's the challenge for you today, and every day. We're all one under that great sun.

Okay, the title of this post has NOTHING to do with the actual post, besides sharing the word "Burn", but I like it and I think it's funny, and it's not Friday, yet, (ah!) so work with me okay?

Posting a happy little custom Double Dutch order for you to ogle over. Looks pretty awesome with my Ikea fur throw and hand-knit blankie, right? Well, sadly it can't live there because it's off to Bernville to surprise a very pretty and lovely lady just in time for Mother's Day! (Her hubs is the tops, seriously, and I'm so excited they are giving one of our signature Double Dutch pieces a loving home! On a farm no less.) So a big, bourbony, hug and kiss thank you for the order! We are psyched we could dutch up your day!

Okay people, this is just amazing. I'm not sure if I've already professed my love for Nicki Bluhm (and her hubs) on here (I'm sure there is some fancy blog stat app that can tell me, but who has the time?), everything about them is, well, banana pancakes awesomeness! So then, while they are on tour for her new album, Driftwood, they start singing some tunes in the van between shows and states and Voilia! I honestly dig them ALL. But in light of my upcoming birthday, a new month and and ode to my grandfather, I've chosen "Don't Worry Be Happy" for you to get down to today. Happy Tuesday!
